LIMA — The Ottawa River Coalition honored two people during its recent annual meeting.
Nate Tessler was honored as an Outstanding Watershed Partner, and Beth Seibert was given the Watershed Impact Award.
Tessler spearheaded the removal of the Allentown Lowhead Dam. He’s served as District Environmental Coordinator for ODOT District One for the last seven years. He helped relocated stranded mussels along the streambed.
For nearly three decades Seibert had served as Ottawa River Coalition Coordinator and Allen Soil and Water Conservation District Stormwater & Watershed Programs Coordinator. She is now an Allen County Commissioner.
Officers who were elected for 2021 include Joe Gearing, chairman; Tyler Black, vice chairman and Sophia Fisher as treasurer.
