LIMA — A Lima man was taken into custody without incident early Friday morning after allegedly holding a female hostage for an unknown period of time.
Officers from the Lima Police Department were dispatched to 643 E. Fourth St. at approximately 2:28 a.m. Friday in response to a domestic violence incident.
Upon their arrival officers were told Bryant Rose, 35, was holding a female inside the residence against her will and was possibly in possession of a firearm.
Once patrol officers arrived on scene, the female safely exited the residence and was able to speak with officers. LPD detectives and the Crisis Negotiation Team, along with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, were dispatched to the residence.
After a period of time Rose exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. He is being held in the Allen County jail on preliminary charges of suspicion of felonious assault and suspicion of abduction.
