LIMA — A bench warrant was issued Friday for the arrest of a young Lima woman charged with providing illegal drugs that killed 59-year-old Dino Gerdeman at the Travelodge motel in May of last year.

Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed issued the warrant, revoking the bond of Kea’Londa Peoples-Fuqua after the 20-year-old tested positive for cocaine during a drug screen.

Peoples-Fuqua was indicted by a grand jury last July on charges of involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs following Gerdeman’s death at a motel on Lima’s east side.

According to court records, Lima Police Department officers responded shortly after midnight on May 27 to Room 252 at the Travelodge motel, 805 S. Leonard Ave., in reference to a female causing a disturbance.

Upon their arrival, police located several people inside the room along with a deceased male, identified as Gerdeman.

Several leads were followed which eventually resulted in Kea’Londa Peoples-Fuqua, 20, being taken into custody. Since that time another suspect in Gerdeman’s death, Dejuan Lucas, 26, has been indicted on identical charges.
