Jan. 5

Malachi J. Trejo, 21, 1144 E. Second St., Apt. A, Ottawa, was sentenced to 11 months in prison for violating community control. The violations include contacting someone not allowed, failing to report to a court hearing, leaving the scene of an accident in Indiana, using drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failing to obtain permission to change residence and failing to report to his supervising officer as needed. He was given credit for 205 days served. He was originally convicted of misuse of credit cards.

Denise R. Schmersal, Continental, was granted a divorce against Jared A. Schmersal, Continental. They were married Aug. 18, 2012 and have no children.

Union Savings Bank, Cincinnati, was granted a foreclosure judgment against Viola M. Boggs, Cloverdale, in the amount of $73,804.84, plus interest and costs.

Jan. 14

Marcus J. Zavala, 27, 1035 Heritage Trail, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to endangering children. Putnam County Common Pleas Court Judge Keith Schierloh accepted the guilty plea and ordered a pre-sentence investigation. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. March 4. Putnam County Assistant Prosecutor Todd Schroeder recommended the maximum three-year sentence be given for the charge and agreed to dismiss a felonious assault charge.

Jan. 4

Nicolas R. Bils, 22, 533 W. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, charged with having weapons under disability, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Kelly R. Ream, 44, 108 W. Washington St., Pandora, pleaded guilty to village income tax. Sentence: $100 fine.

Collin E. Young, 19, 19617 Road 22S, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $150 fine. He was also pleaded guilty to hunting without permission. Sentence: $250 fine. He was ordered to pay court costs for invalid fur permit.

Dalton Davis, 19, 14337 Road 24, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $150 fine. He was also pleaded guilty to hunting without permission. Sentence: $250 fine. He was also fined $100 for invalid fur permit.

Jan. 5

Kodey W. Gross, 22, 1127 Byrne Road, Toledo, pleaded guilty to failure to disclose one’s personal information. Sentence: One day jail, $150 fine. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed.

Jeremy A. Fackler, 39, 83 Main St, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of criminal mischief. Sentence: 60 days jail, suspended, $150 fine and no contact with the victim for one year.

Larry D. Williams, 25, 398 E. Forest Road, Apt. 12B, Kenton, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. Charges of reckless operation, open container and speeding were dismissed.

Robert V. Poland, 34, 15012 Road 11, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to failure to pay village income tax. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $200 fine.
