Christmas Eve robber nabbed by Lima police

LIMA — Lima police are investigating a couple of armed robberies from Christmas Eve.

According to a supervisor with the Lima Police Department, an unnamed male went into the Gold Star gas station at North Metcalf and North Streets and tried to rob the establishment but was unsuccessful.

Then he went a couple of blocks south of there, to the Marathon gas station at West Market and Metcalf Streets, and was successful in robbing that business.

Fortunately, Lima police were able to arrest the man. He faces numerous charges in connection with the two incidents. Police declined to release his name Saturday.
