Dec. 21

The following officials were sworn in to their respective offices:

Kimberly A. Redman, Clerk of Courts of Common Pleas; Jennifer Maag, Coroner; Michael A. Lammers, county commissioner; Vincent T. Schroeder, county commissioner; Michael L. Lenhart, county engineer; Lori A. Rayle, county recorder; Tracy L. Warnecke, county treasurer; Michael A. Borer, judge of the court of Common Pleas, Probate and Juvenile Division; Gary L. Lammers, prosecuting attorney; and Brian S. Siefker, sheriff.

Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Dec. 15

Josalyna L. Baney, 37, 215 N. Orchard St., Lot 12, Leipsic, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for violating community control. The violations include failing to report to scheduled office visits, being unsuccessfully discharged from Pathways Counseling Center, failing to maintain employment, failing to undergo drug testing, and using marijuana. She was given credit for 382 days served and any additional days while awaiting transportation to the department of corrections. She was originally convicted of trespass in habitation. She also has a pending case involving a receiving stolen property charge. There is a pre-trial scheduled on that case for 1 p.m. Feb. 25.

Dec. 17

Storm L. Roberts, 28, 312 E. Main St., Deshler, was sentenced to 180 days jail for aggravated possession of drugs. He was placed on five years community control and given credit for one day served. He must complete all treatment and counseling recommended.

Putnam County Municipal Court

Dec. 10

Derek W. Mangas, 28, 236 S. Grove St., Bowling Green, pleaded guilty to stopping after accident. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $1,000 fine, $500 suspended. Charges of seat belt and failure to maintain control were dismissed.

Dec. 14

Arturo Quintero, 58, 304 E. Broadway St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 177 days jail, 174 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of headlights required was dismissed.

Dec. 15

Jeffrey W. Meyer, 50, 425 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 180 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for six days jail upon completion of DIP. Charges of public indecency and open container were dismissed.

Dec. 17

Carl T. Rush, 44, 509 W. Main St. Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $100 fine and complete a drug and alcohol assessment.

Hans V. Lammers, 30, 103 E. Sugar St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to using weapons while intoxicated. Sentence: 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $150 fine. He also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of criminal mischief. Sentence: 60 days jail, 30 days suspended, $150 fine. He also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, $100 fine.

Jane M. Dewood, 57, 2861 Township Road 142, Findlay, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless operation. Sentence: $150 fine, 12-months license suspension. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

Joseph J. Hiegel, 56, 102 E. Main St., Apt. 1, Leipsic, pleaded no contest to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 30 days jail, suspended, $750 fine, one-year license suspension. He was also fined $50 for failure to control.
