The Lima Kiwanis Club will meet at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, at Milano Cafe, 2383 Elida Road, Lima, respecting COVID-19 Guidelines. Special guests will be representatives from Deb’s Dogs, A Lotta Love Pet Rescue and the Allen County Humane Society. These three agencies who serve at risk animals in Allen County were chosen to receive the proceeds of the Pet Contest held in conjunction with our annual 5K. They will describe the services they provide to animals in the community.

The Kiwanis Club of Lima is part of Kiwanis International, an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world “one child and one community at a time.” The local club is proud to sponsor service leadership clubs for students in Lima City Schools, teaching young people to provide service to their school and the community as well as the Aktion Club at the Allen County Board of DD, a service club for adults with disabilities. Members of Kiwanis are involved in numerous service projects throughout the community, state and nationally. Community involvement is a crucial part of Kiwanis and informational meetings help members stay informed of events and changes that affect the community.
