ALLEN COUNTY — Mercy Health and The Allen County Fairgrounds are teaming up to bring some holiday cheer to area residents.
Starting Saturday, the fairgrounds will be decked out with holiday lights in a COVID-19 safe activity.
“We are overjoyed and excited to bring this unique, special holiday event to our region,” said Chad Hughes, Allen County Fair Operations and Promotions Manager.
“Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center is delighted to bring a fantastic safe way for families to celebrate the holiday season and enjoy time together. We are honored to work in conjunction with two amazing long-standing organizations of our community to bring this event to life,” said Ronda Lehman, president of Mercy Health, Lima.
People can check out the Mercy Health Bright Nights from the comfort of their own vehicle.
The drive-thru event will take 15 to 25 minutes and feature a light tunnel, illuminated trees, buildings and around 50 LED Christmas light displays. A recording of The Lima Symphony Orchestra performing music from the Nutcracker can be heard over your car radio.
The cost is $10 a vehicle.
