Rhodes State asking for donations to curb effects of pandemic

LIMA — On Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1, Rhodes State College will launch its annual campaign to encourage community members to give items to support students.

The need is increased this year due to the pandemic.

The Rhodes State College food pantry, The Shop, hosts distributions of food and supplies for students who need help with food security so they can concentrate on their studies.

The Rhodes State campaign, #GiveRhodesONE, has a goal to raise $25,000 to secure one more credit hour, class, semester or year of education for current and future students. Donors are able to choose which one they want to give, and the money raised will go to scholarships and programs.

This year, an anonymous donor has pledged to match up to the first $3,000.
