LIMA — Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center has updated its visitor restrictions due to the high rate of new coronavirus cases in the Allen County area.
Hospital and emergency room patients will be allowed one visitor at a time between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., while children under 12 years old and patients in the hospital’s labor and delivery department will be allowed two visitors at a time.
Visitors must be at least 15 years old and are required to wear a mask for the duration of the visit.
Patients in the hospital’s respiratory and COVID-19 units, along with any other patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who exhibit symptoms of the disease, will not be allowed visitors at this time. Facetime and Skype visits will be offered as an alternative.
