LIMA — Lima police are looking for people involved in a shooting that took place shortly after noon Tuesday.

According to a press release, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Jameson Avenue after receiving a call of shots being fired. Witnesses said several gunshots were exchanged by two groups of individuals. No one was injured, but houses and vehicles in the area were hit by stray bullets.

A vehicle involved in the shooting, a dark-colored SUV, and three suspects on foot fled the area eastbound. The incident is being looked at as possibly gang-related, police said, and is still under investigation.
