Overhead flashing light to be removed on state Route 501

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation is planning to remove the overhead flashing light at the state Route 501 and Fort Amanda Road intersection as soon as Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Four new signs that use LED flashing lights and icons will then be used to notify drivers of the intersection ahead.

Crews will install two “stop ahead” signs on Fort Amanda Road and two “crossroads ahead” signs on state Route 501.
