LIMA — The second shooting in less than a year at the same residence on Edgewood Drive in Lima left an unidentified male hospitalized with a gunshot wound early Sunday.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 12:15 a.m. to Lima Memorial Hospital in reference to the shooting. The victim, whose name was not released, reportedly was at a residence at 1559 Edgewood Drive when a verbal argument ensued. An unknown male inside the home reportedly shot the victim.
Deputies secured a perimeter around the residence, and at 6:20 a.m. two witnesses exited the residence. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team entered the residence and located two females. All four individuals were detained for questioning; two were booked into the Allen County Jail on unrelated warrants.

Sunday’s incident was the second shooting at 1559 Edgewood Drive. The last shooting took place Nov. 16, 2019.
It was also the second shooting in Lima on Sunday. At approximately 1:57 a.m. police learned shots had been fired at 500 W. Elm St. Officers learned the victim was a 17-year-old female from Lima who sustained non-life threatening injuries.
