LSH to cut ribbon on Spartan Farm


LIMA — Lima Senior High School will unveil its new Agricultural Education Program and Spartan Farm Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The event will begin at 1 p.m., with the ribbon-cutting and short program beginning at 1:15 p.m.

The Spartan Farm is located on East Chapman Road, east of the old ODOT garage.

The farm is on land received from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Students currently spend three days a week on the farm. Already they have planted apple trees and cover crops and learned tractor, skid loader and other skills.
