I currently am one of your Allen County commissioners, working hard for you in that role every single day.

I understand that I work for you and answer to you, the Allen County voter and taxpayer, no matter what your politics may be. I am passionate about Allen County being the very best place for families to live, work, and play and where businesses thrive. Therefore, I am dedicated to putting my extensive network of professional experiences and relationships to work in the service of moving Allen County forward.

I have more than 36 years of leadership and budget administration experience associated with county government, community and religious organizations, and nonprofits. Through the 3,000 Conservation Districts across the U.S., I have served in top leadership roles for Ohio, the north central regional states, and at the national level. I hold a professional certification in Municipal Stormwater Management and served 27 years as Allen County’s representative to the Ohio EPA, defending our community in environmental matters.

My business management skills and work ethic were born on our family farm operation and I’ve spent a lifetime involved in Allen County’s largest industry — agriculture. I was appointed by the Allen County Commissioners to serve on the Local Emergency Planning Committee in 2011 and remained in that capacity until I became an Allen County Commissioner.

My record of experience and service includes seven years as a highly engaged board member on the Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce – which assists nearly 900 local businesses. As an Allen County commissioner, I’m still very active with the impressive network of local business owners and business professionals that is the Chamber.

I am the Republican candidate on this 2020 ballot, and I am a conservative Republican. This means I value streamlined government, fiscal responsibility, ensuring public safety, and allowing businesses and individuals to prosper. I am a gun owner who believes in protecting second amendment rights, and as a Christian I believe that life is a precious gift from God.

More specifically, I am committed to law enforcement and providing the services necessary to keep Allen County safe. I will continue to work with our great team of Allen County elected officials to operate within the existing general fund resources in delivering efficient and effective government to the citizens of Allen County. I am devoted to strengthening our economy and jobs and am working with businesses large and small to identify and impact employment and development barriers.

I am a common-sense leader who is committed to serving you as a full-time Allen County Commissioner. I am the candidate who is best prepared and capable of serving all citizens of Allen County as Allen County commissioner. And I promise you that no other candidate in this race will be more dedicated or work harder or longer for you as Allen County commissioner than I will. That is why I am asking for your vote in this November 2020 General Election.

Thank you!
