LIMA — Through the Activated School Challenge, 10 school districts in Allen, Putnam and Auglaize counties are eligible to apply for up to $2,500 to fund a project focused on improving health and wellness.
Organized and sponsored by Activate Allen County, Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, the Mental health Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize & Hardin counties and the Mental Health, Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Board of Putnam County, the program is asking that interested school districts apply for the funds over the next month.
Awardees will be announced in December of 2020.
Past winners have used the funds to improve school programs, construct new equipment, enhance health curriculum and start new wellness initiatives.
School districts interested in applying for funds can start the process by contacting Activate Allen County at 419-303-3387 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
