LIMA — The Allen County Republican Party will be hosting a Trump-themed parade, where hundreds of vehicles are expected to ride throughout the county in support of Donald Trump’s re-election.
Scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20, those wishing to participate are asked to gather at the Trump Event Center, 2062 N. Cable Road, for registration from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Food and drink will be available.
The ride will then leave at 1 p.m. traveling west to Delphos with pit-stops in Spencerville, Shawnee Township and then east along Breese Road to the Walmart on Harding Highway before heading into Lima along Main Street and dispersing at its north end.
Those hoping to drive in the “Runnin’ for Trump Car and Motorcycle Ride” should expect a 50-mile trip taking just under two hours.
Both motorcyclists and drivers are encouraged to join the lineup. Cost of the event is $20 per vehicle, and each paid vehicle will receive a free event T-shirt.
Trump-themed flags and other memorabilia are also being encouraged to be used to decorate vehicles, but vehicles will still need to be street legal at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.
