Huntington Bank eases overdraft fees amid pandemic

COLUMBUS — Huntington Bank is extending a 24-hour grace period for consumer, business and commercial customers who overdraft their checking accounts and will eliminate overdraft fees when an account is overdrawn by $50 or less, the bank announced on Monday.

Huntington on Monday said it will automatically waive overdraft fees if the customer makes a deposit within 24 hours of the next business day, and that fees will not be issued when an account is overdrawn by $50 or less, an increase from the bank’s previous $5 overdraft limit.
