Two hurt in head-on crash in Putnam County

OTTAWA — The drivers of two separate vehicles were injured in a crash Tuesday northwest of Ottawa.

According to a news release from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, Thomas Stoddard III, 34, of Leipsic was southbound on state Route 15 and went left of center striking an oncoming vehicle driven by Ronald Fuller, 70, of Continental.

Fuller’s vehicle rolled twice before coming to a rest on its tires.

Both drivers were transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Fuller is said to have suffered moderate injuries while Stoddard’s injuries were said to be serious, but not life-threatening.
