LIMA — Activate Allen County and the West Central Ohio Health Ministries program is inviting all faith communities interested in holistic approaches to health to participate in the Activated Faith Community Challenge.
Through the program, faith-based organizations can apply for mini-grants worth $500 to establish programs that support the health and well-being of their constituents.
Last year, faith communities used such dollars to start an outdoor meditation garden, plan healthy community outreach activities, invest in mental health first aid trainings and provide health screenings, education events and food demonstrations to their congregations.
Online applications for the program can be found at https://activateallencounty.com/activated-faith-community-challenge/
Applications will be accepted through Sept. 30.
For more information on the program or to obtain a paper copy of the application, interested individuals can contact Activate Allen County at 419-222-6045 or Health Ministries at 419-227-0753.
