LIMA — City Wide Pride, a city-wide volunteer program, will kick off this Saturday, Sept. 5, to make three free dumpster sites available for residents to clean up litter and household garbage.
The three sites where trash receptacles will be available include St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1110 N. Metcalf St., Lima Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership and Boulevard Neighborhood Association, 1440 W. Spring St., and City of Lima Code Enforcement, 900 Collett St.
Trash and garbage will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Due to coronavirus restrictions, organizers are asking that those using the free service bring any assistance needed with them to haul any large-scale items that residents are looking to throw away.
Residents are required to bring a proof of residency, such as a valid driver’s license or water bill, to use the service.
Additional City Wide Pride volunteer sites will also be available on Sept. 19 and Sept. 26.
Those interested in volunteering or those that may have additional questions can contact City of Lima Neighborhood Specialist Autumn Swanson at 419-221-5177, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
