Ohio Senate passes COVID-19 relief bill

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senate has passed Senate Bill 357 which would provide an additional $650 million of federal CARES Act funding to local communities across the state for COVID-19 pandemic-related expenses.

The legislation now goes to the Ohio House for consideration.

“Distributing these dollars quickly to local governments will help address the unique needs in communities across Ohio as they each deal with the financial challenges caused by COVID-19,” state Sen. Matt Huffman, R-Lima, said in a press release.
