SWAT teams execute 3 search warrants in county

LIMA — The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed search warrants at three Allen County locations recently. At all three sites, illegal narcotics, firearms and U.S. currency were seized.

On Wednesday the SWAT team served a warrant at 2942 Elijah Parkway, Lima. The search revealed suspected heroin, a revolver, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. The resident of the home, Terry Lynn Watkins-Thomas, 32, was taken into custody at the scene for an unrelated, outstanding warrant.

On Monday the task force executed a warrant at 3580 Yoder Road. During the search of the residence suspected cocaine, prescription pills, a revolver, a rifle, two semi-automatic handguns, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency were located. No persons in the residence were taken into custody at the time.

On Aug. 11 the task force served a warrant at 2241 Lakewood Drive, Lima. During the search of the residence, suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, two semi-automatic handguns with magazines and ammunition and U.S. currency were located. No subjects in the residence were taken into custody.

Charges in all three cases will be presented to the Allen County grand jury at a later date.
