Gunshots hit Hughes Avenue residence, cause crash

LIMA — Officers from the Lima Police Department responded to a call at approximately 10:28 p.m. Thursday in regards to shots fired at the residence at 1166 Hughes Ave., Lima.

There were no injuries reported, but the residence was struck by the gunfire.

Leiayre Freeman, 27, of Lima, was in a vehicle nearby and fled upon hearing the shots. Her vehicle was struck by another traveling in the area. Freeman suffered minor injuries from the crash and was treated at a local hospital.
