LIMA — An early-morning house fire in Lima caused an estimated $15,000 in damages on Thursday.

According to the Lima Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at 1:23 a.m. to a residence at 233 W. Kibby St. in reference to a structure fire.

Two residents of the home were standing outside the structure when firefighters arrived, according to a department spokesman.

Fire was showing from a first-floor picture window, but the blaze was quickly extinguished. The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation

The home is owned by Jeff Kirkman. LaDonna Rice was identified as the primary occupant.
