Lima Noon Optimist Club receives $7,000 from INEOS

LIMA — The INEOS Community Fund has donated $7,000 to the Lima Noon Optimist Club after the club had to cancel its biggest fundraiser — the Lima Noon Optimist Home and Business Expo — due to state coronavirus restrictions.

With the dollars in hand, the Optimist Club will be able to continue to sponsor the programming offered at Safety City and maintain its buildings and grounds.

The INEOS Community Fund was established by INEOS owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe, John Reece and Andy Currie this past March as part of the company’s social response to the coronavirus pandemic. The fund is expected to provide grants throughout 2020 to support the communities of INEOS’s 183 company sites.
