• Putnam County reported its first June death attributed to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
A woman older than 80 died June 22. She had been an onset of symptoms from the coronavirus on April 16, and she was hospitalized May 14.
The county had no new cases reported to the Ohio Department of Health in the 24-hour period ending at 2 p.m. Tuesday. It hadn’t seen a death from the virus since May 31.
llen County had nine new cases and no new deaths.
Auglaize County and Van Wert County each has one new case and no new deaths.
Hardin County has no new cases or deaths.
Ohio has 743 new cases and 45 new deaths.
• Allen County Child Support opens its lobby to the public effective Wednesday. It encourages face masks for all who can wear them, and masks will be available in the lobby. Pay records can be obtained through the lobby computer. Bring your password information. Payments can be made in the lobby by cash, check or credit card; by phone at 419-224-7133 option 6 or CSPC 1-888-965-267 option 5; by check our money order to Ohio CSPC; P.O. Box 182372; Columbus, OH 43218-2372; or through the online payment site of oh.smartchildsport.com. A drop-off box remains in the immediate entrance of the agency.
•Due to the financial challenges individuals and families may be experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, AEP Ohio is expanding eligibility for its Neighbor to Neighbor Utility Assistance Program. Customers with a total gross household income of more than 250% but less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines are eligible for a one-time $120 grant. Qualifying AEP Ohio customers may apply from July 15 - August 14, 2020, while funds are available.
