Wapakoneta man held on $250K bond in Monday shooting

WAPAKONETA — A Wapakoneta man is charged with three fifth-degree felonies in connection with Monday morning’s shooting incident at Laurelwood Apartments.

According to Wapakoneta police, Matthew Brushaber, 33, is charged with inducing panic, vandalism and possession of criminal tools.

He was arraigned late Monday afternoon in Wapakoneta Municipal Court and remains in custody at the Auglaize County Correction Center. Bond was set at $250,000.

Brushaber is a former patrolman with the Cridersville Police Department. He was terminated from that job within the last year.
