June 22

Ty A. Castillo, 29, 519 Ohio St., Leipsic, was sentenced to 121 days jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included failing to contact his supervising officer as required and providing proof of compliance with probation standards. He must obtain and maintain employment and complete all drug and alcohol counseling and treatment as directed. He was originally convicted of possession of drugs (cocaine).

June 23

Thomas D. Miles, 20, Jenera, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included being unsuccessfully discharged from the WORTH Center program. He was given credit for 398 days served. He was originally convicted of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer.

Nancy R. Mangas, Leipsic, was granted a divorce from Edward G. Mangas, Leipsic. They were married July 24, 2004, and have no children.

Employers Mutual Casualty was awarded summary judgment against Herring Neon Signs & Service in the amount of $277,780.14, plus costs and interest.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

June 22

Joseph M. Hall, 25, 1359 Bexley Drive, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to endangering children. Sentence: 180 days jail, 60 days suspended, $100 fine. A charge of assault was dismissed.

Gage R. Irwin, 22, 100 Sneery St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: one day jail, $150 fine.
