Sens. Portman, Brown introduce NDAA amendment for more Stryker funding

LIMA — U.S. Sens. Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown introduced an amendment to the Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2021, requesting an additional $375 million for Stryker Vehicles produced at the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.

The Senate NDAA includes $1.2 billion in funding for Stryker vehicle upgrades and modifications, as well as $1.4 billion for Abrams tanks and another $378.6 million for Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) Stryker Vehicles.
