United Way of Greater Lima to merge with Bluffton, Beaverdam, Richland

LIMA — The United Way of Greater Lima and the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township will merge on July 1, the boards announced on Tuesday.

The United Way of Greater Lima will fundraise in Bluffton as part of the philanthropic organization’s fall 2020 campaign and will provide funding to nonprofit agencies that were previously funded by the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township.

“We are excited to partner together with the Bluffton community to continue to improve lives by uniting the caring power of our community,” Derek Stemen, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Lima, said in a press release announcing the merger. “The United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township has impacted thousands of lives during their history and we are excited to work with them to continue to serve the community with great compassion and care.”
