LIMA — A two-story house was a total loss in a fire Saturday afternoon, but no one was injured.
At about 4:45 p.m., the Lima Fire Department was alerted to the fire at 444 Albert St., according to Capt. Brad Miller. There was some initial confusion, and there was a concern that someone was inside, but that was not the case.
The residents and their dog were not home at the time.
The damage is estimated at $27,000, which is the full value listed on the Allen County Auditor’s website. It is owned by MSL Ventures LLC.
The cause has not been determined.
