LIMA — This year’s St. Gerard Parish Festival has been canceled due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

The event was originally rescheduled for July 31 to Aug. 2, but the parish announced Monday the event is canceled. In lieu of this year’s festival, the parish will host St. Gerard Drive-thru Wingfest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 in the church parking lot, 1311 N. Main St., Lima.

It will include wings, fresh-cut fries, homemade fried rice and egg rolls, cotton candy, drinks and baked goods. Cars should enter the parking lot off West Street and exit onto Main Street. Food will be delivered to each vehicle. It is cash only.

Raffle tickets will be on sale for $20 at the event for the $10,000 grand prize drawing on Aug. 2.
