Drugs, firearms, currency found in 2 Lima raids


LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday reported evidence found during the execution of two search warrants in Lima.

On Tuesday, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served a search warrant at 443 E. Albert St. Suspected fentanyl, a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency were located.

On June 5, the task force, assisted by the Lima Police Department, executed a search warrant at 709 Harrison Ave. During the search of the residence suspected methamphetamines, suspected heroin, suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and drug proceeds were located. Two residents were taken into custody for unrelated charges by the Lima Police Department.

Charges in both cases will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury at a later date.
