LIMA – The Lima Symphony Orchestra and ArtSpace/Lima are teaming up to bring music to children this summer. The orchestra has created “Music at Home,” a project in which kids can create musical instruments with objects found at home.

The instruction sheets, which will be placed in the TO-GO Art Bags, are paired with a video on the Lima Symphony YouTube page. The first project is a homemade kazoo. The LSO plans to distribute music projects throughout the summer.

ArtSpace distributes TO-GO Art Bags every Wednesday, free of charge. People are encouraged to stay in their cars and drive through Cherry Alley to pick up the bags. The bags will be handed to individuals in their vehicles. Cherry Alley can be entered from High Street in the 100 block and exited onto Market Street. They will be available starting at noon.

For further information about this project call 419-222-1721.
