VAN WERT — Two people were hurt, one seriously, in a motorcycle crash in Van Wert County on Sunday.

According to troopers from the Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, just after 6:30 p.m. the driver of a motorcycle was eastbound on U.S. 30 just east of the U.S. 224 interchange when a tire blew and the motorcycle crashed into the median.

The male driver of the motorcycle and his female passenger were ejected.

The driver was flown to Parkview Hospital while the passenger was taken to Van Wert Health for treatment of injuries.

Names haven’t been released, and the accident remains under investigation.
