FORT JENNINGS — Volunteer crews looked along the Auglaize River for a missing child with autism Wednesday afternoon.

Crews weren’t able to find 5-year-old Isaac Schroeder by 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Fort Jennings Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page. The group organized a search again in the morning starting at 7 a.m. Thursday at the Rec Club at Fort Jennings Park.

Schroeder was wearing only his underpants and knew his name, according to a Facebook post by his mother, Sarah Schroeder.

Crews reminded people to stay in groups of at least two people and have cell phones with you. They urged people to stay away from the river and wooded areas after dark so no one gets lost or injured.
