Teen jailed after man found dead in east side Lima motel



LIMA — A teenager was residing in the Allen County jail Wednesday on charges of corrupting another with drugs following the death of a man at a motel on Lima’s east side.

According to Detective Brian Snyder of the Lima Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight Wednesday to Room 252 at the Travelodge motel, 805 S. Leonard Ave., in reference to a female causing a disturbance.

Upon their arrival, police located several individuals inside the room along with a deceased male, identified as Dino Gerdeman, 59. Gerdeman’s death appeared suspicious in nature, and an investigation was launched, Snyder said.

Several leads were followed which eventually resulted in Kea’Londa Peoples-Fuqua, 19, being taken into custody.
