LIMA — An early-morning fire Friday morning at a vacant house in Lima is under investigation, even as the structure was being razed later in the day.
A spokesman for the Lima Fire Department said crews were dispatched at 6:30 a.m. to 859 W. Wayne St. in response to a house fire. Firefighters found the structure fully involved in flames upon their arrival.
The home, owned by Michael Jordan, was deemed a total loss. The site was the scene of a previous fire and was known to be vacant.
Damage to a neighboring residence at 857 W. Wayne St. was estimated at $5,000.
