Wednesday, May 13th, ArtSpace/Lima’s TO-GO art bags will be featuring Zentangles. A zentangle is a form of meditative drawing that has patterns (or tangles) and put together it forms a Zen-tangle. The art bags will have instructions on how to make patterns, sample sheets, calligraphy sheets, pencil, eraser, and a frame for a finished piece.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and ArtSpace is partnering with Coleman Professional Services and The Mental Health Board to offer creative activities that promote positive, healthy outcomes. Zentangle drawing is a practice that relaxes and helps with focus.
ArtSpace is encouraging people to stay in their cars and drive through Cherry Alley to their back door to pick up the bags. They will be handed out to individuals in their vehicles. Cherry Alley can be entered from High Street and exited onto Market Street. They will be available starting at 12:00 noon.
