April 27

Elizabeth A. Geckle, Columbus Grove, and Vergil L. Geckle, Findlay, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married July 1, 1999 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. and have one child.

During a telephone hearing, Frances A. Wilhelm, 69, 402 W. Main St., Napoleon, is to remain a level five status. Wilhelm was committed to the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital in Toledo by former Putnam County Common Pleas Court Judge Randall Basinger due to attacking Rev. Herman Scherger, a retired priest in Cloverdale at his house Sept. 5, 2016. According to reports, Wilhelm walked up to Rev. Scherger’s car as he was getting out and began hitting him in the head with a hammer. Basinger found Wilhelm, who was charged with attempted murder and felonious assault, not guilty by reason of insanity at a trial. The maximum time Wilhelm could be held is for 11 years.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

April 21

Nicholas A. Okuley, 26, 12508 Road G, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession. Sentence: $150 fine.

April 28

Michael A. Meyer, 61, 125 Pohl Drive, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.
