Lima man arrested, jailed following attack

LIMA — A 51-year-old Lima man has been charged with suspicion of felonious assault, assault and having a weapon under disability for attacking another man.

Eric Inmon, 28, of Lima, came to the Lima Police Department on Tuesday evening and said he had been assaulted at a residence in the 800 blocks of Holmes Avenue. He identified his attacker at Travis Rimes. Inmon said Rimes struck him in the face several times and later threatened him with a firearm.

Lima police officers drove to the Holmes Avenue address and established a perimeter around the residence. The department’s Crisis Negotiation Team, along with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, arrived on scene to assist. After several hours Rimes exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. A search warrant was executed at the residence and yielded numerous pieces of evidence.

Rimes was transported to the Allen County jail pending his initial court appearance.
