Two hospitalized for gunshot wounds in Lima

LIMA — Lima police are investigating the shooting of two people early Sunday.

According to Sgt. Curtis Hile, police were called to 1325 W. Wayne St., Lima, at 12:31 a.m. Sunday on the report of shots fired.

When police arrived, they found evidence of a shooting and a party but no victim.

One of the shooting victims was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center by a private vehicle. He’s identified as Tyle’q Sparks, 23, of Lima.

The other shooting victim showed up at Lima Memorial Health System. He’s identified as Jyvieon Sims, 19, also of Lima.

Police indicate that no one is in custody for this shooting.

On April 15, officers were called to the same location for a report of shots fired, but no victim was found then.
