LIMA — The City of Lima announced that its Elm Street railroad grade separation and roundabout project is 80% completed as of Saturday.
The finish course asphalt for the completed portions is scheduled for April 29 while the contractors work on the sidewalk surrounding the roundabout, street lighting, grading topsoil and seeding.
Once that is complete, that portion will be open to westbound Bellefontaine Avenue traffic. Eastbound traffic will still be directed under the Elm Street underpass via temporary pavement along Lima Stadium Park to Shawnee Street.
The estimated completion date is June 23. The cost of the project is $9.6 million.
