ODOT seeking comments on proposed road, culvert projects

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on a number of proposed projects in District 1, based in Lima.

ODOT is proposing to replace two culverts on state Route 116 in Van Wert County. One is approximately 3.5 miles west of Spencerville; the other is two miles north of Venedocia. Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2022. The ODOT project number is 105189.

Bridge and culvert maintenance is also being proposed at several locations in Allen County, including the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 75 approximately three miles south of Lima; state Route 696 east of Beaverdam; and state Route 66 northeast of Spencerville.

Similar maintenance work is proposed in Putnam County near Glandorf on structures spanning Pike Run, Lammer Ditch and an unnamed tributary of the Blanchard River. All projects are two miles or less northwest of Glandorf. Other Putnam County projects include state Route 115 south of Vaughnsville and state Route 190 less than two miles northwest of Fort Jennings.

The project identification numbers for the bridge and culvert work is 101196.
