Lima convenience store robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday

LIMA — Law enforcement personnel in Lima are asking the public’s help in locating a suspect who robbed a convenience store in Allen County early Wednesday.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday from employees of Circle K convenience store and gas station, located at 1219 W. Robb Ave., stating that the business had been robbed at gunpoint. A lone suspect fled the business with tobacco products and U.S. currency. No one was injured during the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect is described as a black male with a stocky build. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Callie Basinger at 419-993-1420 or Crime Stoppers at 419-229-STOP (7867).
