Norcold to lay off 345 in Sidney, Gettysburg

SIDNEY — Norcold Inc. is laying off 224 employees at its manufacturing offices in Sidney to comply with Gov. Mike DeWine’s stay-at-home order.

The company, which makes refrigerators and freezers, is laying off an additional 121 employees in Gettysburg, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice submitted to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services on Monday.

In the email, the company said it plans to recall most of its workers at the end of the government-mandated shutdown.
