Bagley named Van Wert schools superintendent

VAN WERT — Van Wert schools is getting a new superintendent. The school board plans to approve a three-year contract for Mark Bagley who is currently the middle school principal.

He replaces Vicki Brunn, who is retiring.

“This has been a very difficult decision, due to the quality of our applicants,” said Anthony Adams, VWCS board president.

Bagley was previously principal at Ohio City Liberty Elementary School and assistant principal and principal at Van Wert Middle School. He began his teaching career at Ottoville before teaching junior high/middle school math at Van Wert Middle School.

He begins his new duties on Aug. 1.
