CELINA — Two Van Wert residents have been arrested by Celina police for the possession of drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, syringes and other drug paraphernalia.

Celina police responded to Walmart late Monday afternoon after employees there reported that two theft suspects fled while being questioned. Police located the suspects during a traffic stop on state Route 29. Allan Keysor, 50, and Korbin Taylor, 21, both of Van Wert, were taken into custody.

The Celina Police Department’s K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics and officers located suspected drugs listed above in the vehicle. Evidence of thefts from Walmart was also located, as well as a device used to circumvent security equipment located in high-value merchandise. The suspects were linked to multiple recent thefts from Walmart and Menards in which were several hundred dollars in merchandise at a time was stolen.

Mercer County Prosecutor Matthew K. Fox is reviewing the case for possible further charges.
