LIMA — One of Lima’s largest automobile dealerships has been sold, effective immediately.
Allan Nott Honda and Toyota is being absorbed into the White Family of Dealerships.
Negotiations between Nott and the Whites have been going on for several years.
The Whites are no stranger to Lima as White Chevrolet Inc. was in business in Lima from 1953 to 1974. The Allan Nott dealerships started in Lima in 1957.
“We are happy to be able to return to Lima,” said Tim White Sr., chairman of the board. “With the acquisition of these dealerships, our revenues will place us in the top 75 of all dealer groups nationally.”
The White Family of Dealerships will now grow to 25 automobile dealerships throughout Ohio, Wyoming and South Dakota in 11 cities.
“The addition of the Nott organization strategically fits into our footprint in western Ohio, halfway between our operations in the Toledo area and the Dayton metropolitan market,” said Tim White Jr. “We are extremely fortunate to be able to add these well run and respected companies to our Ohio family of dealerships.”
In 2019, the Nott dealerships had combined sales of about $107 million and employed 117 people.
“(It was) really just the performance and the reputation and the success that the Nott family has built with their current operations here and it just really was an attractive opportunity to take over a very successfully run business. We have offered all the employees continued employment and foresee no changes in the management structure of the dealerships,” said Tim White Jr.
The purchase does not include Raabe Ford, in Delphos, which is owned by the Notts.
No word on how much the deal is worth.
